Capresso 560.04 Infinity Commercial Grade Conical Burr Coffee Grinder Bundle With Grindz Cleaner Big Discount

Capresso 560.04 Infinity Commercial Grade Conical Burr Coffee Grinder Bundle With Grindz Cleaner
Conical Burr Grinders preserve the most aromas and can grind very fine and very consistent. The intricate design of the steel burrs allow a high gear reduction to slow down the grinding speed. The slower the speed the less heat is imparted to the ground coffee, thus preserving a maximum amount of aroma. Because of the wide range of grind settings these grinders are ideal for all kinds of coffee equipment such as Espresso, Drip, Percolators, French Press. It can also grind extra fine for the preparation of Turkish coffee. Slowest grinding speed in its class creates less friction and heat build up preserving maximum aroma and flavor in any grind setting Tight fitting ground coffee container, holds up to 4 ounces of ground coffee See-through bean container holds up to 8.8 ounces of beans Timer can be set to grind from 5 to 60 seconds Elegant, timeless and user-friendly design Cleaning brush and measuring scoop included Dimensions - Height 10.8 x Width 5.4 x Length 7.7 Weight - 3.3 pounds --PLUS-- Coffee Grinder Cleaner

excellent
Works great. Not too noisy. Has rubber feet on the bottom and doesn't slide anywhere. Grinds very good. Doesn't overheat. Small amount of static only if you grind coffee continually. Manufacture recommends not to exceed grinding more than 3 times in a row. If you grind only once it doesn't cause static at all. For a full pot of 8 (6oz) cup, I grind 8 tablespoons of beans and set it at 5 on the timer, and all the beans grind perfect and none are left undone. Be careful, some coffee companies require 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 oz cup of water, then your settings would be different. I suggest you buy a cheap clear measurement cup with markings of tablespoons in it so you don't have to be counting each tablespoonfull at a time.

wonderful grinder
This grinder performs great. Quietest one I have owned. Smooth very consistent coffee. The container tends to move forward while it's running. This lets some coffee grinds escape at the end of the cycle. It has a finger at the bottom to hold it, but doesn't do a great job. I think it needs some sort of slip resistant surface on it. Maybe a thin layer of silicone? Haven't tried yet. Also did not receive the cleaner with the grinder. Still waiting on that, not holding my breath.
Such a deal!
I had been using a blade-style grinder, which recently broke. I was never really happy with the the way it ground up the beans, especially if I was only making a single cup. The thing barely worked at all unless there were a certain quantity of beans in there.

I chose this one after reading the reviews here and on some other sites. Although I was somewhat concerned about the reported static problem, this one seemed like the best overall bang for the buck. I have no regrets at all about the choice.

First off, while there is some static after the beans have been ground, it seems to me that the problem is vastly overstated. A bit of fine powder remains stuck to the plastic when I pour the grind into the coffee maker. It really doesn't bother me at all. If it does, it's easy to rinse out.

The unit does its job nicely and easily. I'm not making espresso, so I can't comment on that, but for regular coffee making, the unit is more than capable of...

Cuisinart SG-10 Electric Spice-and-Nut Grinder

And with the Cuisinart Spice and Nut Grinder it's easier than ever to efficiently rind any spice or create original, tantalizing spice blends. The blade is exclusively designed to grid spices and nuts and the simple press-down lid starts the grinding process with one touch, sealing in all the finely ground spices.

Simple to Use, effortless to clean
I bought it specifically for grinding whole flax seed. It grinds it to perfection in seconds. Although I use it for other nuts too, which I am extremely happy with it all. It is a snap to use, and is super super easy to clean, takes up little space on the countertop. Note that not wanting the lid to become foggy (as some plastics do in high heat) I no longer use the drying/heat function on my dishwasher, so after going thru the cycle it comes out like new everytime. If you are the kind of person who likes to have the cords tucked into the appliance then you may be a little disappointed as the cord takes a little fiddling to get it coiled back into the housing unit. In my personal opinion I think this product is superb, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Works Really well- for a while
So I'm a spice freak. I have more than a hundred spices in my pantry and like to grind my own spice mixes using whole spices. After breaking two coffee grinders trying to grind spices in them, I tried this little gem. I've had it for almost 6 months and it works wonderfully well! I've ground hard and soft spices in it and it breaks them all down in a few pulses. I've even used it to grind wet spices in small quantities with equal success.

Pros:

1. It works for both wet and dry spices.
2. The cup and the lid can both be put in the dishwasher- no need to risk cutting your hands on the blade!
3. The cup has an inner rubber lid that can be used to store spices in the cup if you want to (I never do, but still..)

Cons:

1. After grinding, there is always spice dust on the outer edge of the grinder and in the crevices that has to be cleaned.
2. Because the lid itself is used to push down and grind, it does not fit securely on the body...
Love it!
This spice grinder is exactly what I was looking for. It ground all my spices, even cinnamon and nutmeg, to a fine texture. I have a Cuisinart coffee grinder which I tried to grind spices, but it didn't grind spices as fine as I wanted.
The lid did not "cloud" over like it does with some grinders when you grind some hard stuff in it (cinnamon, nutmeg).

Small, light, and consistent
I used to own a german made wooden box grinder of similar price that I used for a little over 6 years, but the main problem with that grinder was that the grind was not consistent because the screw adjustment for the burr would keep moving. This was a big problem while trying to grind for my espresso machine, since inconsistent grind changes the quality of the pull in a big way.

I've been using the Porlex JP-30 every day for about two months now, and these are my impressions and comparisons with my former box grinder. First off, the locking mechanism used to adjust the grind is as advertised, it locks and doesn't change the grind on the fly. I did have to search on the web to find that the best grind position for espresso, and how to adjust the grind position (the adjustment mechanism is on the bottom of the grinder, and is the nut that "clicks" when you move it), because my Japanese isn't as great as it used to be (the manual is indeed only in Japanese). Espresso grind...

Turn, turn, turn - a grinding we will go!
I can't attest to the longevity of this product as I've only had it 6 weeks. I usually wait longer before reviewing something, but I felt compelled to offer you more info. There are too few reviews available for this product.

First of all, don't be foolish like me and start cranking it seconds after unboxing. Mine came with the ceramic grinding elements closely adjusted and touching. I probably grinded a little life off of them whilst I chased the wifey around the house with it. I don't see the damage done, but something had to of been worn away. Open the grinder and back off the adjustment nut before cranking.
To adjust for a percolator grind I turn the nut back really far. The nut clicks as it is turned. It takes 8 clicks to turn the nut one revolution. Each click separates the grinding elements very little. This minute adjustability allows for fine tuning. The results are not perfect, but they are perfectly acceptable.

The ease/difficulty of cranking is...
Almost got it right
Pro's: The grinder grinds really well.
Cons: The grinder body is really hard to hold.
You have keep the grinder upright or contents fall out.
After only a month of use there is wear between the handle, which doesn't stay on very well, and the head of the grinder shaft, handle does not appear to be stainless steel (advertised as stainless) like the rest of the grinder.
Almost criminal: is the really sharp edge on the underside of the crank handle.
Quality control was asleep that day.
I will probably have to return components or unit for replacement.

Capresso 565 Infinity Conical Burr Grinder, Stainless Steel Discount !!

Capresso 565 Infinity Conical Burr Grinder, Stainless Steel
For grinding larger quantities of coffee beans for a coffee-drinking crowd, Capresso's commercial-grade Infinity grinder handles 8-1/2 ounces of beans at a time. Sixteen different settings--four each in the four categories of extra fine, fine, regular, and coarse--let you adjust the grind to the specific blend of coffee and method of brewing. The finest setting is ideal for preparing Turkish coffee, which is a rare feature to find in a grinder. A built-in timer sets the grind for anywhere between 5 and 60 seconds so you can walk away without having to constantly press a button to continue the grinding process. The Infinity has an advanced conical burr design made of steel that is usually only found on commercial grinders. This burr design slows down the gears and reduces the amount of friction and heat to preserve coffee's flavor and aroma. The coffee container holds up to 4 ounces of grounds and remains sealed during grinding. For safety, the bean container also needs to be locked into place for the Infinity to operate. Also, for easy cleaning, the bean container and upper burr lift off so you can clean the grinding chamber with the included brush and wipe down the and heavy-duty zinc die-cast housing with Stainless Steel finish. For grinding larger quantities of coffee beans for a coffee-drinking crowd, Capresso's commercial-grade Infinity grinder handles 8-1/2 ounces of beans at a time. Better taste, quality build, less noise & no dust!!
I've been through a couple of burr grinders - the Gaggia MM and a Melitta, so when it came time to buy a new one, I knew what I didn't want - a noisy, dusty grinder that wears out quickly. I've pretty much found it with the Capresso Infinity.

I did some reading, and depending on what you need, it's amazing how much you can spend for a burr grinder - they range up to $400 and beyond. The main features I was interested in, though, were available in the sub-$200 range. For my pump espresso machine, these features included:

>consistent, even grind - for better tasting coffee

>"reduction" gearing - where the grinder motor speed is slowed down without loosing grinding torque, resulting in less static and dust

>less noise - it's nice to have conversations while making coffee

>durable, long lasting quality - I wanted to keep my third grinder for longer than a year.

The Capresso Infinity has delivered on the first three...

Works very well, and thanks for the gotchas!
First, I have to thank everyone who reviewed the product for warning me about some of the design issues of the product. I read reviews to look for failings in a product and then buy if the price and performance outweighs known problems.

Now, the review. Five stars. Yes, you need to know where to be careful, but you'll definitely enjoy the coffee.

The important stuff. This is where you have to be careful.

- Unpacking - There's a big "PUSH" label that seems counterintuitive, but I pushed and the receiving drawer came out the back of the styrofoam. I could see how people might break this.

- Assembling - the removable burr wheel needs to be seated, mine wasn't so the hopper didn't seem to fit. Turn the burr until it matches up to the bottom and it drops a fraction of an inch to seat. Line up the black dot on the hopper with the mark on the right and gently push down and twist. The plastic on the hopper and drawer feels weak and flimsy, but it...
Good Grinder for the Money, But With One Drawback
The Capresso 560 is about the best grinder for the money that I've seen, but it still has a nasty drawback, in my opinion.

On the plus side are the nice conical burrs, the reduced burr speed, a good range of grind settings with good consistency, a clear plastic bean container that lets you see what's going on in the grinding chamber, and the easily-removeable top burr that makes it easy to clean the grinding chamber.

The drawback (to me, anyway) is the significant amount of coffee that remains in the grinding chamber and exit chute when you're done grinding. The instructions say not to grind more than you're going to use in the next hour, because the ground coffee goes stale quickly and attracts other odors. Obviously, this will happen to the coffee left over in the chamber and chute, and you'll get that stale coffee with the next use of the grinder. Since you bought the grinder to get the freshest possible ground coffee with every brew, this seems to defeat...
