Easy and Simple
The biggest praise for this item is also its downfall- it is very simple. The urn works great; we are using it for hot apple cider. I wish there was a temperature control on it. There is a very high MIN line (almost 1 gallon), so we end up wasting a lot trying to keep it full without burning whats inside.
It's simple, easy to clean and keeps things hot, overall good deal.

UN-Professional
I needed a hot water urn. This received very good reviews. I bought it. Looked great. Performed fine - for awhile. I have had this model for over a year. It has heated water very nicely and most of the time has kept the water warm (not hot) for future tea/coffee. Now, I keep my urn on for 2 - 3 days at a time and I clean it out with vinegar when I see calcium build-up, however, little by little the inside "stainless" steel turned blackish and started a weird rusting on the bottom. I tried cleaning it but it never came clean. I don't know if the vinegar reacted with the lining or if the Chinese steel is of inferior quality (duh!). It was a nice urn for a few months and I suppose if you use it for a short time every day and don't expect long-time warming/heating you will be happy. Just keep an eye on the interior - it may start turning. I really wish I could buy an American made urn. This Chinese stuff is, well, you know....
Amazing!
I researched a lot of urn's, and chose this one because I heard that stainless steel is better than aluminum, and I wanted a 50 cup urn. The only strange thing is that it didn't have directions on how to brew the coffee or the quantity of coffee grounds to add. Thankfully, I found that information on the internet. I ended up making 40 cups of coffee by adding 3 cups of grounds, and the coffee came out perfect! The other thing that you need to do is to place a paper towel on the bottom of the basket, which acts like a filter. It would've been nice if the directions mentioned these little things. The directions did say not to keep the urn plugged in and to remove the coffee from inside the urn, or the coffee would end up tasting bad/burned. I didn't do either of these things because I didn't want the coffee to get cold, and I didn't want to make a mess by pulling out the grounds during my party, but my Starbuck's continued to taste perfect all afternoon.
