Too bad for the good coffee
After almost a month and a second try, I give up.
There are some pros, though, and it would be unfair not to mention them ...
Nice design, very attractive.
The coffee is not bad at all.
And, the customer support very competent and knowledgeable.
But ...
The machine seems to have a mind of its own.
The first one didn't work at all. I called customer support, but more to accomplish a formality ... When you pay $1,000.00 for a product, the last thing you expect is to have to spend the first day trying to make it work.
But I decided to give it another try.
The second one started just fine. User friendly, great coffee, stylish (looks great on the counter)...
After a couple of weeks, the output became inconsistent (some shots not even enough to fill a tablespoon). Resetting the amount of water didn't help. Customer service suggested that I avoid using the fine grind settings ... in other words: avoid certain settings, you may mess-up the...

Questionable convienience vs cost
Purchased in June 2010. Went through a pound of coffee and contact with customer service just to get it operating correctly. Very tempermental. Requires constant cleaning, and need to adjust grind with every coffee purchase to minimize either clogging or grounds in base of unit. After eight months, the computer board fried. Sent it in under warranty. After return, worked better, but certain functions like cups made and adjusting grind period, no longer available. After another six months, the power board fried. Estimate is another $200 for repair plus shipping. Presently sitting on counter as decoration because it looks great. Should be more robust internally considering the initial price. Limited repair facilities available. Deciding whether to spend another $260 for repair plus shipping, or cut losses by buying cappucino at local barista. With only one year warranty and DIY manuals unavailable, appears there is an exclusive stream of income through constant repair and service. What...
One Month In Already Broken
Purchased this as a Christmas present for my wife who happens to love all things coffee. I figured a high-end, touch-screen coffee machine was the perfect gift, and it was, until it stopped working. Less than a full month into use this $900 coffee maker has begun to leak and won't even brew a cup as the equipment states there is an error. I gathered there was an error when water started to spew out the rear of the device, but there is no fix in sight and I already have been forced to take it into a repair shop. But at least the cool blue light on the side of the machine still works. Maybe the light was just foreshadowing how blue I'd get once I learned how much money I'd lost on such a shoty product.

Outstanding Espresso / Great Size & Design
After weeks of research we ended up selecting the Jura-Capresso ENA 4.

I was a bit skeptical that this small little super automatic could really replace our larger manual and brew quality espresso. I went to a local retailer and was fortunate enough to be able to use a demo unit. I was amazed by how simple and intuitive the ENA 4 is to use; while at the same time provides a level of flexibility and control well beyond my expectations.

Perfect for home use
I purchased the ENA4 2 years ago, actually I purchased the ENA3 which is black, but I was given the ENA4. The only difference is the color. It has never failed to produce an excellent shots of espresso. Generally, I make lattes or cappuccino.

Performing the routine maintenance, when indicated, produces the best results.

This is a home unit, not designed for power users. Wouldn't recommend it for an office or high volume household.
Great Coffee, Bad Water Container
This is our third Capresso (or Jura Capresso) superautomatic coffee machine. In our experience these machines last only a few years before needing repair but they make such good coffee, so easily and quickly, that we keep coming back to them. We've tried other brands and none rivals Jura Capresso's coffee. This is our first machine of the Ena generation, however. We just bought an Ena 3. While the coffee is as good as that of previous models, the new design is disappointing. The rotary dial is a pain but it is tolerable once you master it. The water tank, on the other hand, is an absolute nightmare. We can only make three mugs of coffee before it must be refilled, and the rear location of the tank makes that task very difficult, especially since our machine must be located on a kitchen countertop beneath upper cabinets. In addition we have under-cabinet lighting, and it's hard to remove the water tank for refilling without bumping into the lights and burning your hand. In my opinion...

Easy, delicious, caffeinated wonderments
This machine is a hit with everybody. The coffee is always perfectly fresh and it is relatively easy to use. Cleaning it is easier than a coffee pot! Be careful with how many people it is meant to serve... it is a teesy bit slow and loud. Another thing to realize is that the height is about 5 inches taller with the fresh bean holder installed at the top- making it a stand-alone piece in your office (rather than a countertop piece).

Nothing but Pure Praise!
We have had the jura XS9() for just over two months now. All I can say is that I originally I felt foolish in purchasing such an expensive 'novelty' for two people. The fact that I have six espresso or a combination of drinks that average six espresso shots a day didn't help how I felt. I can honestly say the machine is bloody amazing!! Each shot perfect, each cup of coffee a joy. When was the last time that you had a cup of freshly brewed coffee that had that little bit of light foam on the top? It is a reality in our world every morning. $2,200.00 - ouch! But if you love your coffee/espresso all I can say is that this machine is extremely consistent, programmable and amazing. We love it.
